THUNDERBIRD YACHT CLUB OUTSTATIONS
Snug Cove, Bowen Island
Bowen Island is only 8 nautical miles north west of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Located on the east side of Bowen Island in Snug Cove, Union Steam Ship Co. Marina (USSC) offers a first class year round facility featuring historic turn of the century village. The Marina is able to accommodate vessels from 10 to 200 feet.
The minimum draft in the marina is 8 feet at 0.0 tide and reaches depths of 22 feet. They offer all the regular marina services including a pump out station aside from a fuel stop. The marina has 30 amp and 50 amp service, free Wi-Fi, water, laundry and showers in the boater's lounge.
TBYC has 4 slips available, 24 hours a day along B dock, ( 25,27,29,31)

Please note that Bowen Island is exceptionally popular during the summer months and all slips are on a first come first serve basis.
Gibsons Marina, Gibsons
Located at the south end of the Sunshine Coast just north of Vancouver, Gibsons (population: 4,600) is a quaint town of artists and fishing boats.
Perched on a hillside, it overlooks the harbour and faces nearby islands in Howe Sound. As the crow flies, the "Gateway to the Sunshine Coast" is 16km/10mi from Vancouver.
Gibsons has earned international recognition when it was named the "Most Liveable Community under 20,000" (2009) in a world-wide competition by the UN. It is perhaps most famously known as the location for the longtime hit TV show The Beachcombers, which first aired in 1972 and ran until 1990. Molly's Reach is still operated as a popular restaurant today.
TBYC has 3 slips available along B dock, (B7, 8, and 9) See map for reference.
NOTE: The Marina reserves the right to rent TBYC slips to non members if they are left vacant after 5pm. Non members must vacate the slips by 11am the following morning.
Silva Bay, Gabriola Island
Silva Bay Marina offers safe, permanent and year round transient moorage for traveling mariners and is located on the island of Gabriola which is known as the "Island of the Arts".
Gabriola Island is the most Northern of the Southern Gulf Island chain and is a short distance from the city of Nanaimo and the town of Ladysmith on Vancouver Island.
Silva Bay is the best spot for mariners coming across Georgia Strait from the mainland or going to the mainland, as well as a great stop over point for mariners going north to the Northern Gulf Islands, Sunshine Coast, Desolation Sound, Broughtons and beyond, or for heading south to the rest of the Southern Gulf Island, San Juans and further south.
Our dock space is located on the outside of D dock for a total of 180' of moorage for the club.
Pender Harbour Marina, Pender Harbour, Sunshine Coast
Pender Harbour is a harbour on British Columbia's Sunshine Coast, on the east side of Malaspina Strait. Often called “the Venice of the North”, the harbour is an intricate amalgam of bays and coves that encroach inland for five kilometres and provide over sixty kilometres of shoreline. Once a steamer stop, a fishing village, and an important logging and medical waypoint, it is now an unincorporated community within the Sunshine Coast Regional District
Tourism is an important part of the local economy. The area has an arts community and several annual music festivals. It hosts the second-oldest May Day celebration in British Columbia and the biggest and longest-running downhill longboard race in Canada, Attack of Danger Bay.
TBYC has 100' of dock space on the outside of the main float and rafting permitted. Additionally, slips D76 and D77 are available for club use.

Home of Thunderbird Yacht Club, Ekins Point is located Just 13 nautical miles from Vancouver and is nestled at the secluded north end of Gambier Island. Our property is comprised of a pristine, well protected bay complete with docks and moorage, all surrounded by 17 acres of remote West Coast forrest.
The property has been owned by the club for 27 years, and offers a true retreat from the city and yet is easily accessible. Facilities onshore are quite extensive, including a long house for club functions, fresh water, showers, pizza oven, barbecue pit and camp sites, making it a perfect weekend getaway or extended summer retreat.
Planned events include Spring and Fall Cruises, Sail Past and seasonal work parties, but the rest of the year is pure relaxation with ample opportunity to explore hiking trails and experience the beauty and nature of Gambier Island.
